Relay for Nature - Racing for the Ocean - The Ocean Race

Relay for Nature has been created to give the ocean a voice on the critical issues affecting our planet.

At the heart of the initiative is Nature's Baton, which is passed between teams throughout The Ocean Race and travels to the world's most influential environmental summits. There, in the hands of sailors, world leaders, and ocean advocates, it carries a simple but urgent message: do more to protect and restore our ocean.

Relay for Nature is a blue thread connecting the defining threats to our natural world, a reminder that the ocean is the foundation of all life on Earth, and that it cannot be an afterthought.

The initiative was founded by The Ocean Race and Peter Thomson, UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Ocean.
